And the final week of our "evolving" banners, prior to our return to ordinary time: The Baptism of The Lord. For this week's symbolism, we added a scrim to the pulpit cloth. This allowed us to cover most of the gold with blue, evoking the baptismal waters. A shell (a traditional symbol for baptism) was also added to the pulpit cloth. Most of the gold strips in the banners were tucked behind some new "watery" blue strips that were added for this Sunday.
